Getting gtx 1060 and am wondering which brand to use

there are no cheap GPUs. Expect to pay up to 2 x MSR (or more) for you choice.

Only if you buy the better part of a whole new system along the way and ask for a manager to authorize the discount back down to near-MSRP. If you walk in and ask for a discount without buying anything else, it'll most likely get denied.

yes thats right. but you need a whole new platform to prove its for gaming.
brandwise i vote for msi. great afterservice and warrenty.

NO ONE that has them "reasonable" has any in stock the only stock you will find are the unreasonable ones. You can order straight from EVGA @ about $50-$75 above MSRP but it's every 3-4 weeks they have stock and it sells out in 24 hours.

EVGA offer the best performance and cooling followed by the MSI versions which also explain why you can't openly find them unless they are stupidly priced.
