Getting hit hard with spam

The forum is getting hit hard with spam. Although individual posts are removed as they're reported, most of them are from the same user names. Is there a reason why these can't just be banned to stop each spam source at the root?

Its pretty heavy at the moment isn't it? Combine the "improve with supplement" spam which doesn't even make sense and the support phone number spam its thick

Your doing a good job mate, keep it up. Its just coming as fast as it can be taken down which is a shame really. The advertising isn't fooling anyone and all it does is make the forum harder for people to use.

We are banning spammers when they post. However, it's pretty common for them to have similar names (e.g. "TechnicianHelpline", "techtechnicians", "techsupports", "techsupportss", "techsupport01", "Edutechs" just to name a few recent ones), which you might think are all the same spammer. They're not.

Also about half a dozen IPs banned in the last few hours.

They're coming faster than they can be banned. Have nuked about a dozen in the last half hour alone, not to mention multiple IP bans. We'll do our best to keep on top of it, but definitely flag them if you come across any we may have missed.
