Hi.

When I try to create a partition in linux with gParted, it first hangs and then returns I/O error. What does this mean?

smartctl readings:

smartctl 7.0 2018-12-30 r4883 [x86_64-linux-4.19.34-1-MANJARO] (local build)

Latest BIOS update for your motherboard? What is the make and model of your motherboard and are you doing a dual boot off that single SSD?

It's a laptop (Asus ROG GL702ZC), I have the latest BIOS version but I'm not sure where I can check the model of the motherboard. I tried doing a dualboot but that is exactly where the disk failed.
