Please post full system specs and OS.

My purely subjective guess (at this time) is some error of commission or omission during the build. Not at all uncommon and may be the result of faulty documentation.

Try another known working keyboard on your build. Test the current keyboard on another known working system.

Key is to eliminate possible sources for the problem.

The Asus Rog Strix B450-i
Ryzen 2600 with factory cooler
Gtx 1060 6g (have tried a 1030 as well)
Corsair vengeance 2x8 16gb 3000 mhz, have tried only 1 stick as well.
Tested keyboard on another system and works.

Not an APU - sorry missed that....

About all I can think of, for the moment, is to pull the CMOS battery, wait awhile, doublecheck all installed components and cables to ensure that they are fully seated and connected.

Then re-install the CMOS battery and try again.

I have been trying to figure out where the battery for this board is. It doesn't seem to have one. Any ideas?

I found the battery just like in the link, and unplugged it. But still boots up and it stays on the screen where it says to pres Del or F2 to enter bios. Think its a bad board?

Board is most likely bad. These AMD Ryzen boards do NOT seem to have very good quality control. I've worked with 6 ryzen boards this year, and 3 of them were bad. DOA, random BSOD, crashes, hangs, etc. Did not matter which brand, Asus, ASRoc, Gigabyte, etc. etc.

Also, would there be a reason for it to stay on that screen only? where it says to press del or F2? if there is no OS on the system, i was told that if i put in a flash drive with the win 10 installation, that it would automatically boot from there. But it seems to just hang on that screen.
Thank you for your help.

If you press F2 on an Asus board, it supposed to get you into BIOS regardless of when there is a flash drive, windows 10 installed etc. It shouldn't matter one lick, and drop right into bios if you hit that F2 key in time. If it won't go into Bios that means the board is really screwed.
