Hello all I am getting ready for my first pc. I like playing games such as Assassins creed, fallout and elder scrolls series games and would like a pc that can not only play these titles but also support playing future bethesda RPG games that might come out in the next year. hopefully fallout 4. if possible i would like to be able to play Skyrim on high settings. I would also like to do this without completely going broke. My budget is $750 and i would like any possible advice you can give me on parts.

did not mean to click best solution on first reply this is my first time posting and i don't know how to remove it.

To do some of the things you mentioned at 1080p, my recommend base build is about $1050

From here, you can save maybe $10 with slower RAM, $60 by holding off on overclocking and maybe $10 on a smaller PSU (this one is sized to handle a 2nd card in SLI down the road.

Yes you can do a $650 build but there is little upgrade ability whereas if ya can manage close to $1,000 .... all the upgrades are easy.

But if ya can't ya can't and the THG build above is a good start (prces are a bit lower today) and with peripherals, you should be able to get close to that $750

I already have a Gaming monitor and am going to consider my OS system as a cost outside my budget. I plan on having a 64bit windows 7

This would be my $750 build ... case could be much cheaper but ya had the budget and it serves as a springboard for future builds. You aslo don't need 750 watts biiut a) there's was nothing as good at that price in a 550-650 and b( again, would be able to use the 750 with (2) 0970s in a future build
