Getting knocked out in races.

I'm pretty new to NFS HP2. I'm running the championship searies and I keep
getting knocked out of the races. I have no clue why I get knocked out. Can
anyone tell me what qualifies for getting knocked out?

If you are running "knockout", that means you placed last among the
surviving cars. In a "knockout" race, the last place finisher of the
lap
is eliminated until there is only one left.
