Getting lots of BSOD

in the past month i have gotten 14 bsod. im not sure what to do. i get bsod like 1.kmode exception not handled 2.driver irql not less or equal 3. memory_management 4. irql not less or equal. 5. ntfs file system 6. attempted execute of no execute memory. 7 system thread exception not handled. and the others are same as stated above

start with a memtest86 boot disk make sure there no issues with your ram. if it passes..check that the cpu temps are fine and the fans are moving. if it not a memory issues it can be a power issues or bad cache or bad part in your cpu.

i tried running memtest86, but i could never get it to work

if it wont run and you have more then two stick of ram try removing one stick and see if it run or the errors stop. if they stop try switching ram.

so all these bsod could be caused by bad ram?

it a hardware failure in the system. right now you have to run some tests to see what part is failing.

for motherboards, will any ram usually work? or does it have to be a specific model/brand?
