When clicking on add and remove programs it gives an error mshta.exe has
genereated an error, when I go into MS Word, it gives me a winword.exe error
and when I try to open most any program it gives me a rundll32.exe error and
closes the window. Even wen I go to the command prompt it generates a
cmd.exe has generated an error.

Has anyone come across this before and it is possible to fix by not
reimaging or reinstalling windows?

Thanks

Have you ever installed MS-antispyware? We are seeing a lot of critical
errors in windows when MS-antispy expires and its reinstalled as a different
user. Also I bet more than these 3 are screwing up....what service pack are
you? perhaps re-install the latest service pack

YES!! But it didnt seem to work, so I uninstalled it. I will check the
service pack to see if it is the latest, if not I will install the latest to
see if that helps.
Thanks!!

Perhaps before a SP re-install, try to remove everything
MSantispyware....reboot, n download the new one, install with admin rights...
