Hello! Hope everyone is doing great. Currently i am paying Youtube Premium as a family plan so i can split the monthly payment with other people.I use it only for the ads since youtube became so annoying and use my account several devices i make it simple for father and mother etc. Now i need more space in one of my accounts and i am not sure of several things:
  1. Should i get it on a single account? Or should i get that google one account for my family group?
  2. Is there a better method to do it?
  3. How sharing space works in terms of privacy, i read the main page but i am not sure if it worth it.

You pay money to get rid of ads? :??: There are free options for that. E.g i don't pay a dime and don't get any ads on YT (or on most of the internet in that matter). :sol:
But i digress.

Back to the point:
Should i get it on a single account? Or should i get that google one account for my family group?
Do you need more space or does your family as a whole need more space?

If you alone, i'd get more space for your own account. When someone else also needs more space, it would be cheaper to get family plan.

How sharing space works in terms of privacy
Everyone who is included in the family plan can use, see (and maybe share) all the content in the shared space. As far as i know, you can't individually restrict items from others on the plan within shared space.

Is there a better method to do it?
It completely depends what kind of content you have, that needs more space. Google pics, docs etc aren't the only this kind of service in whole wide world. There are alternatives.

Actually i just want drive space nothings more. About ads, i know know but is the way to make it easier to my whole family to have no ads.

If i can get it to my whole family group that i currently have with YouTube premium iot would be great but i dont understand google one at all also i dont want anyone to access my space.

Offline storage? Meaning SSD/HDD inside your PC.

Other option is buying more storage space for your own account.
My missus has done it for her account, since we have a cute doggo and her free space got filled with puppy pics. :D

I don't use online storage myself. Instead, i have drives in my PC, which i can easily add more, if i need more storage space. That, and also due to security reasons, since anything you upload, will be there for forever and there's no telling who can see it. There have been plenty of database hacks and those won't be going anywhere.
