Getting my Laptop to communicate to my Brother Wireless Printer

My printer is connected to the Router, and I can easily print from my IPAD using brother I print I scan app that I downloaded.

I can also print from my Phone.

But I can not get my Laptop to print to my printer or scan from the printer to my laptop.

I have a Lenova laptop and I am on Windows 8. I have recently moved and am in the process of setting all these items up again. I am struggling with the laptop connection.

download the driver suite for your printer from brothers' website, there will likely be instructions on how to set it up properly there.
