Looking at getting a new monitor. Was going to get something that does 2560x1440 res. After doing some reading, people are suggesting getting a 3440x1440 res monitor. What I don't want is to need to start turning graphics down to play games. Does anyone have any input on how a 980ti does at that 21:9 res?

Solution
980ti will need to turn down some settings at 1440p (2560x1440).
1440P is good, but it's gonna push the 980ti.

Also 21:9/16:9 are aspect ratios, and have no meaning in terms of performance impact.
It's only when you get to actual resolutions (720p, 1080p, 4k) that the performance impact can be determined.

Sorry for wording that wrong, i know aspect ratio doesn't impact the performance. I just put that down since i already said what the resolution of the 21:9 aspect I was looking at (3440x1440) for the ultrawide monitor.
