Hi i want to upgrade my pc. Its an emachines el1333g-01w. I have read topics about this pc and they say you just buy a new pc instead. I only have a budget of $250 so i would to slowly upgrade/replace the parts. What should I buy first? I was thinking to buy a case and a power supply first. And i was planning to buy a pentium g2358 and a 2gb ddr5 gpu when i have the money. and my mobo is broken. If i upgrade the mobo i need to buy a new ram. Help :( sorry for the grammar

If this is your PC: http://images10.newegg.com/ProductImageCompressAll300/83-114-103-02.jpg
...and it has a dead board, I can think of no good reason to "upgrade" it. The slim line case will limit you to small low powered gfx cards. The PSU is an odd size that can never be replaced with anything that will be suitable for gaming. And the case design is such that the only board that will fit is another one just like it. There is no removable IO back plate.

Is this your processor? Athlon 2850e 1.8GHz
And are the specs here similar to yours? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883114103
If so... you have just about the slowest processor I've ever seen in a modern PC. That little low wattage CPU and 220w psu are not suitable for matching up with many gfx cards.

Equally important is the placement of the PCIe X16 slot. It is right next to the case wall if I am picturing it correctly. That will limit you to not only a single width low-profile, low performance card, but one that does not extend more than the slot's width. Check inside your PC to see if I am correct.
But if you really want to spend some money on a card that won't get horribly bottlecked by the CPU, this is about the best you can do: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133556 19W maxed out.
It comes with L-P brackets to swap out for the full height bracket. I hope you won't be gaming at 1080p, tho. It is more a 720p and lower card. Either way, the CPU will be the weakest link.
