Also, don't forget that by putting a point in Bone Prison, you forego the
Marrowalk bug.... Very useful, if you want a cheap Bone Armor and a
potent Bone Spirit/Bone Spear on a summoning necro...

Patrick.

My only problem with that is that I have never - in 4.5 years - found a
pair of Marrowwalk boots. Well, until last week, but that was in CEmod
where the author nerfed the bug. I created a new -act5 necro just to wear
them and when I put them on it told me I only had level 19, not level 33.
In CEmod you can go up to level 30 for skills instead of the usual max 20,
add a few plus skills items and you can get quite a bit further than the
level 33 they normally give. Plus, in this mod, there are potions that
you find every now and then that give you plus one to skills just like the
Akara quest does, so you are not even limited to the 2 skill points you
get every time you level up. My current skellimancer is turning into a
boner as well, it can really help when all 'da boys' are whacking away at
a phyical immune monster.

mod i created for myself. thanks for the input tho, however, i have

Hehe, I think every skellimancer has been there done that at least once.

Well, I can't comment on CEMod, since I've never played that, but the
Arreat Summit explicitly states the Marrowalks are 1.10 only.

So unless you're home-brewn mod adds them, you're not going the find them
in 1.09.

Also, weren't summoning necros heavily underpowered in 1.09?

Regards,

Patrick.

Even SR didn't help my poor little skellies. This is when i resort to
Revives. One point, and another from the +1 amulet which my necro can
wear when he has reached lvl27, and some tactical moves. I do the seals
clockwise, with the Vizier first. So the last to kill before Diablo, is
the Infector and his minions. Some are available for revivication, and
will hopefully last long enough to keep Diablo busy, so that he can be
worn down until he drops. My skellies are just too weak to do it on
their own.

Ah, Information. A property, too valuable these days, to give it away,
just so, at no cost.

another trick i found, was to portal out, hit the waypoint to Act 3
durance of hate, and try to kill and revive some Urdars or whatever
those big guys are. you can then portal back to Diablo and find that
he's still standing around patiently waiting for you to come back. the
Urdars seem to stand up pretty good to the fire nova. Nothings gonna
take that flame blast in the face for too long tho.
