this problem been happening randomly after i updated to the new amd crimson edition i am watching a video online then out the blue i only hear the audio and get a pink screen with black lines and have to restart my computer since i can't do anything when it is in that state. this the same problem i was having with some media players but instead of hearing the audio i was getting a high pitch sound then my computer would restart it self. never did figure out what was causing that i and still do get that once in
awhile when i use potplayer. and i am using windows 10 home all this started when i updated to windows 10.

well i would suggest to roll back your drivers for now, uninstalling the crimson software and going back the catalyst. Many people are actually having issues. In some cases their gpu's overheated and actually got burned . Check out the sub reddit for more info

Actually check if you are able to the driver version you are currently on. It seems like amd released a hotfix with the 15.11.1 beta drivers that should solve your issues

You know Exilas,

Oddly enough, I didn`t have the exact same problem as you.
But I did notice when playing videos through VLC player in windows.
That there was a slight fluctuation in brightness on screen, pulsing.

When I installed the Crimson ATI driver, so I went back to the older driver i had.
And it stopped.

As said simply use backup and restore of windows to roll back to the prior ATI graphics driver.

Have you tried using the 15.11.1 beta driver ?

ok what i did was deleted everything that was amd and let windows 10 update to all the downloading which brought me back to the old catalyst and graphic driver version 15.201.1151.0. but if this didn't fix the problem i will downgrade from windows 10 to windows 7 pro that i was saving for a new computer i was saving money to build since all i need is a full case instead of this mid size case and a new motherboard. thanks for the help golfis

ill let you know if this helped or not.

ok just did it again 5 mins ago but instead pink with black bars it was now a bluish color with black bars and i was watching a youtube video this time around.

i am wondering if my graphics card is defected or could it be windows 10 causing all this. since i don't have any problems when i play my games. only happens randomly when i am either watch a video file with potplayer. vcl. gom player was doing ok but then it happen with that. but now it is happening with streaming sites and the event logs does not record this problem at all so kind of hard to figure what is going on. or could this be a problem with google chrome.

ok it seems the problem could be a old error that was happening in windows 8 with WHEA-logger
something to do with amd northbridge saying it is hardware when in reality it is the windows os coding. since they fixed the problem when they released windows 8.1. so that is what microsoft needs to do again with windows 10. and it seems there is no way to find a older more stable graphics driver i tried the ones i found either didn't have the hd audio driver or crashed even more so i guess i am stuck with crimson edition. by the way there are tons of error and warnings happening in event logs looks like it is the os and they are all old errors from windows 8. the only thing i think of is i reinstall my windows 7 home premium 64 bit version and wait. since it seems i can't find a reliable place to get a windows 7 pro retail version anywhere. since wanted for the more ram use than the 16 gigs that windows 7 home uses. and there is no way to inform microsoft of this problem at all.

this is the Whea-logger xml view so you know what i am talking about since i been keeping track and this is the error that always shows up after my computer decides to restart.

OK i might have fixed the problem i read in another post on toms hardware where some people were have same kind of problem and in one suggestion they said to give the cpu more voltage so i gave it a try by going to into bios and turn off auto voltage and putting it into manual and giving the northbridge a 0.1 voltage increase. that was 4 days ago and i have not had a problem with my computer crashing like it was
and by the way i went back to windows 7 home premium and got the same problem i was getting crashes at least once or twice a day before i did this so hopefully this will help someone that been having the same problem if it stay stable like this i will try windows 10 again and see if it either gives me the same problem or stays stable. will let you know. in about 2 weeks since want to give this a week to see if it stays then upgrade to windows 10 and give that a week and see what happens.

ok that little fix with the nb voltage only work for a short time still having the same problem. i wish i could figure out what causing this problem since i stress tested my cpu, and the graphics card if it were those the stress test would gave me the problem still only happens when i am watching a video on any web browser or media player and i tried every AMD graphics driver still gives me the problem. i did come across something i been watching videos in normal mode since i was putting them in full-screen then i get the problem in normal mode no problem well so far. so this graphics video glitch might having something do with full-screen. my next plan is to get me a new motherboard and see if that fixes the problem altogether or before that to reset my bios. don't know which one i will do though.
