I appreciate my question is odd, so odd I didnt think id ever find myself requiring some info on it...
However I have a custom PC build in mind that uses a very portable case, with a built in monitor, I have spare DVD and kitchen LCD's that fit the bill for the size I need very nicely, however as they are old tech, they pretty much only accept RCA inputs.
I have seen you can get HDMI to RCA converters, however I have no idea if these are actual things work, or just have "name to name" and do absolutely nothing like the none active HDMI to VGA cables that float around the internet.
Honestly I dont even know if this should be in the GPU section, I just figure this is my best bet, hopefully theres someone out there as obscure as me and has just the answer im looking for.
P.s if the active converters do work, great, however if I could do it passively it would be even better, even if it means adapting an adaptor xD I had an idea that DVI to VGA to RCA may be a possibility as vga is analogue, but I honestly dont know enough about the in's and out's of VGA to know if it can be converted to RCA passively.
All the best
Matt
