Hi folks, I have had PC few weeks now, I have noticed in a couple of games when I'm playing it its like freezing up for half a second every like 5-10 minutes or so. FPS is fine but just like these small stutters. I've attached some examples of what I mean.

I don't notice it on everything eg I've been using 3dmark and it's fine. Non-demanding games also seem to be OK. But eg noticed on it both RDR2 and Death stranding. I've tried adjusting freesync V sync etc. And they are both on an SSD with 20% space free. Defintiely not throttling either temperatures are fine (50C CPU, 70C GPU)

If this is normal, fair enough, its quite a first world problem after all and I can live with it but I would be grateful for any suggestions

GPU - 3060 ti
CPU - 5600x
RAM 16GB 3600MHz
Mobo - Aorus elite ax v2
Monitor - LG ultragear 27" GN750
OS - Windows 10 21H1

Thanks !

Hey there,

Can you set up MSI OSD to show CPU usage/temps/clocks, and GPU usage/temps/clocks/mem speed/frame time, and system memory usage.

I suspect you are having frametime spikes, but we need a little more detail to figure out why.

All system drivers/GPU drivers etc up to date? Make sure you have the latest chipset driver, and have the Ryzen balanced power plan selected.

Hi keith12, thanks for replying. I got Afterburner up and running, and played for maybe 90 mins tonight, I tried uninstalling a couple of programmes I thought might be problematic, and believe it or not I had no stuttering, so this issue may be fixed I'm not sure yet, however, the game completely crashed on me twice, which I never had before. I managed to get a photo of the MSI overlay before it closed down on me the second time, but the weird thing is its like it went back in time - you can even see on the taskbar it crashed at 21:18 but the overlay is from 20:01 and the actual background where you can see the game is from a mission i beat an hour ago. So I'm not sure if this overlay is much use to you anyway. View: https://i.imgur.com/8W4PmYr.png

Let me know if you can read it OK it seems to be slightly low quality. It's bizarre. Might Afterburner have anything to do with it crashing? Never had this issue before but i remember have issues with Afterburner on a PC I had a few years ago.

Also with regards to other questions, I'm definitely up to date with chipset drivers, I am one update behind on GPU drivers, and I've tried both balanced and high performance power plan

Many thanks for replying
