My computer kept disconnecting from the internet and as I was trying to connect back to the internet, everything just kind of became unresponsive. My computer restarted and booted up and got past the hp logo but got stuck on a black screen with the white dots on the bottom of the screen circling around to indicate that it's loading. It probably stayed on this screen for an hours. I restarted my computer several times to see if anything was different but it just keeps getting stuck at that screen. What's going on?

Solution
Boot you windows 10 cd, and from the drop-down list select 'repair windows installation' and see if it fixes the problem.
If repairing you windows installation did nothing, I would use a Linux live cd to transfer all of your files and data to an external HDD, then reinstall windows. If reinstalling still doesn't fix the problem, your hard drive could be failing, causing system files to be corrupted, making the computer unable to boot.
