getting this error when trying to update 0x800704cf

Hi when I try to update my windows 10 I'm getting this error 0x800704cf on research it looks like it's related to Hotmail does anyone know a fix for this?

its a windows update error, can try running the windows update troubleshooter and see if it helps
choose settings/update & security/troubleshoot - it should be in top section of left column

make sure time/date on PC are right

Hi thanks for reply I managed to sort the problem out by turning my vpn off, why this should make a difference I'm not sure as it is still linked to uk but it worked any way.

The error was a networking error so Windows update may not have liked the vpn. I saw it effecting store updates, WU & Xbox so it effects contacting the MS servers.
