Getting windows 10 for a new built PC

I might be building a PC within the year. Obviously it will have no OS. Is there still a way to get Windows 10 for free? And if not, should I just go for the cheapest OS (Windows 7) instead of 8, so I can upgrade to 10 right away.

Windows home is $100 at Newegg no matter which version 7,8,10 you buy. Just buy a full version of 10 then you can easily rebuild in the future.

As long as it is before July 29. 2016, you can get Windows 7 or 8 and free upgrade it to 10.
