This has probably been asked a million times, but I have my desktop computer plugged into an Actiontec mi424wr Rev. F modem/router via an ethernet cable. I don't have any sort of wireless adapter installed on it. Is there a way to allow the computer to interact with other devices that are connected to the same router via wi-fi?

Solution
Your wireless printer should show up under 'network' in Windows Explorer (the file manager, not Internet Explorer the web browser).

You should also be able to see it under 'devices and printers' from the start menu.

If not, you probably need to run the wireless setup on the printer again.
The wired computer should automatically be a part of the network if connected to the same router that provides your wireless network. You should just be able to run Network Wizard in Windows 7 include in your home network.

It is connected to the same router, but it does not show the network. Rather than being called "Kevin's Network" (like it appears on all my wireless devices), it just says "Network".

"Kevin's Network" is probably the SSID (wireless ID) of your router. It doesn't indicate the name of your LAN.

As stated previously, any devices attached to the same router (wired or wireless) are part of your local network. The method by which resources are shared is dependent on the device.

How exactly do you want the devices to interact with each other? Video/music/picture sharing or something else? Also need to know what devices you are trying to get to "interact" (phones, tablets, OS, etc.). Some methods of interacting are built into an OS, while other devices (phones, tablets) might require you to install an app.

Sorry for the late reply. The main thing I'm looking for is to allow my computer which is connected via ethernet to be able to print with a wireless printer. I really couldn't care less about file sharing or doing anything with phone or tablet.
