Getting write access to former Windows drive?

Hi everyone!

I recently upgraded my PC and installed a fresh copy of Windows on a new SSD. I kept my old 2TB drive because it had a lot of space and all my previous content on it (I didn't remove Windows from it though).

The problem is; I couldn't access anything from the Users folder because of permissions issues. I managed to get a read access, but I can't figure out how to get a write access, how can I do that?

Solution

Not that I know of, no.

Possibly just move that data out from the original /Users/ folders.
Don't copy the actual 'folder', but rather the data in them. The folder is what holds the original NTFS permissions, and is blocking your access.

Personally, I really dislike having a whole second viable OS on the same system.
Seen too many cases where it leads to confusion down the road.

Move that data out, wipe that drive of Windows and everything else, then move stuff back onto it.
