I may be purchasing a Duron or T-Bird 850 CPU for a system I'm building based on Asus A7V133 with 256MB PC133. And I'm asking would the GeForce2 MX be a good pair with a 850 AMD CPU? Thanks

If you can afford the extra $50, move up to a GTS. If you can't, order/make some heatsinks for the ram and some arctic silver. If you don't want to order pre-fab heatsinks, you can make your own with a pair of tin snips and some cheep thermal gel. Just make a large plate of Al/Cu and connect it across all of the ram chips in one large 'L' shape. It's not pretty, but it's better than absolutely nothing. And you can do it for $5.

If you overclock the wholey-living-shirt out of an MX, you'll get roughly the same performace as a stock GTS.
