Is this true nVidia has to redesign GF3?
<font color=red><i>23 March - NVidia redesigns the GeForce3!

So here we are with the reason of GeForce3 delay. As it appears now, the NV20 revisions A3 and A4, had too many errors and manufacturers refused to make boards with them. Certainly, a chip, which contains of 57 million probably may have a lot of errors in the early revisions. I`m wondering, why all of them has not been revised yet - GeForce3 was annouced a month ago!

Taking into account that revision À5 is already shipping (obviously, those samples which are tested by hardware reviewers now) it is necessary to wait for À6, as the final revision. Of course, if A5 does not have errors. Frankly speaking, the fans of the latest hardware can sleep quietly - they will not see GeForce3s in their local stores untill the end of April...

I know engineering samples are out for review sites to test. No one else has confirm this rumor or validated the authenticity of this report. Hopefully it is BS as you say.

Steve:
LCM Network ( translator required ) running a small blurb on the GeForce3 saying all the chips so far had to be destroyed due to a bug or problem?? Nothing confirmed as of yet. . . thanks to Markus for the heads up.

I wonder if this affects the X-box?
