NVIDIA_G98.DEV_06E0.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 9300 GE"
NVIDIA_G98.DEV_06E1.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 9300 GS"

That what you can find in 174.53 NV drivers

i think they ll be as powerful as old 8600GT/GTS.... wait.... 9800GTX is a rebadged 8800GTS 512...

8600 GTS under 9xxx badge??? Quite possible

If this is true you have to wonder what nVidia is doing. They were a full generation ahead of AMD/ATI. Just rebadging their 8xxx series with G92 chips is really allowing AMD/ATI to catch up.

Unless nVidia is waiting for some real competition before releasing what they're really been working on in the next generation after 9xxx.

By all means the 9800GTX should be more powerful than the 3870X2. I mean the 3870X2 barely beats the year old 8800 Ultra.

It is always like this, each company goes through a slump and the other catches up and passes. It is good for us that these companies keep trying so hard. Nvidia just hit a wall, and now it is ATIs day to shine. And no, I am not an ati fanboi... I have a nvidia card. But, I am a fan of whoever is doing things right.

The real competition is when all the cards from both companies are out and benchmarked.
I hope that ATi is listening to all of this and don't fail with their 4(whatever) series. If that series comes close to the performance of the nvidia high end cards with at least a $150 price difference, life will be sweet for us,the consumers.
