I just got a brand new MSI gforce 6800 and I can't get it working.
It shows garbage during bios init., differently colored numbers and
it does't seem to ever get past the init, or maybe I just can't see it.
I flashed the mobo's bios to the latest version ( asus a7v 600 ), but
that didn't make any difference. does anyone have the same combo
of board ( or chipset ) and 6800 series ? I got NX6800 TD128

What are the specs on the sticker of the power supply and what brand/model
of memory are you currently running?

Am sure you probably tried/thought of this, but similar problems on one
occasion were caused in a machine I had just replaced a video card on. The
lock pin on the back of the agp card socket was not engaged and the card was
not set right. Locking the card in place fixed it for me. Hope your issue
is that simple!
