Hi, I have a Silverstone SG13B, and i currently have a GTX 750 Ti (placeholder) in it along with my shiny new 6700k. I have the 6700k cooled by a corsair H80i, so the front rad mount is already taken. My cousin bought a Fury X and used it for a while, then decidided he wanted a 980 Ti. He is giving me the option to buy it for 75$. Would it be worth ghetto mounting the Fury X rad on top or something, or should i pass on the deal.

Solution
You may be able to just shove the tubes out the side of the case and leave the card inside.

That would require less of a hole in the case.

You may be able to mount the rad/fan assembly on the side of the case near the card, but space is very limited. The tubes would pop into the case and run to the card the fan would be screwed to the side panel and holding the radiator.

I may work, but you would have to take some time to plan it.

If you do not want to mess with the case, I would recommend getting a decent air cooler for the cpu. They make some low profile units that should fit.

Okay, thanks!! I think i will just mount it on the outside of the case and call it good. I can't really see the case and i think that the extra GPU horsepower will help with gaming and driving my 4 1440p, and 2 720p monitor array. (i use a active displayport splitter)

For testing(to ensure it works how you want it to), You can run the case with the side off for a while. It would suck to cut up a case and find out the card is not for you.

If you are not worried about space and looks, you may be able to place some kind of standoffs on the fan to pull it and the radiator away from the case. This will allow airflow without cutting more out of the case(just 4 holes to hold the stand offs or fan and one for the tubes/wires).

EDIT
And I want pictures of this mod :)

It would not be the first cut in a SilverStone case.
