Question Ghosting on new monitor

I just bought a Dell SE2422H and it arrived today after attempting to set it all up noticed there is allot of ghosting and random colours behing moving objects on screen, ive messed around with the OSD menu, response time is turned all the way down as it is way worse on the max, ive used the HDMI cable that came with the monitor and an older one and getting the issue with both cables and im now stuck on what to do.

Is there an item called "auto adjust" or similar that you can try?

I had the same issue, my monitor has an option called "Trace Free" which was automatically set to 100, caused a lot of ghosting, I changed it to 20 and it fixed the problem
you can use UFO Test: Ghosting ( testufo.com ) to test ghosting levels while you experiment with different monitor options. I had a quick look at your monitor's manual on DELLs website and the equivalent to Trace Free should be " Pixel Clock " or " Phase ", or even a combination of both. Try to test them out and see the results
