Ghosting two a laptop

I have two brand new laptops and one that's about 1 1/2 years old. They all are running vista premimum and was wondering if i can ghost the old laptop to one of the new ones without removing the drives. My next question is that they all have recovery partitions and will this be a problem meaning should i leave the original recovery partitions in place or will it matter since the two new ones are H.P. and the older one is an Acer. Will the H.P.accept the Acer recovery image.
I have Acronis and have used it to clone desktop HDD's and hope i can use it to clone in place if possable.

Unless it is the exact same brand and model laptop, you will almost certainly not be able to successfully clone the hard drive and have it work another laptop. There will be activation issues with vista as well as driver issues.
