Giabyte GTX 680 OC Windforce x3 Won't accept Drivers

Hello,

I just got my my GTX 680 and i installed it. but it is not working properly. even since the MOBO start screan i can see horizontal red lines going through the TV. when the PC finishes booting, it looks even worse. and everytime y try to install the drivers (i tried 3 differents versions already) and restart, they won't be installed. as if the 680 is not accepting the drivers. shoould i return my GPU or is it someting else?

My Ring:

i5 2500k base clock
MOBO G1 sniper 3
8 GB DDR3
corsair TX 750w psu
Windows 7 64bit ultimate

i tried reseting bios too. i'm soooooo upset. i have crysis 3 just wating for this card 🙁

Return it. It's pretty obvious that it's defective and even if it isn't I'd still return it, no need for headaches when you spend that much money. If you can, grab an eVGA, MSI or ASUS card and go from there. I'd go for eVGA due to their quality and lifetime warranty and hassle free replacement. Cheers!

This is one you definitely want to consider returning. The red lines on the screen are a bad sign. At least call the place you got it from and explain your problem to them and see if you can get a return.

stick with Asus or MSI it seems they make better cards at least imo they do.

ok another question. i will always stick to a single monitor/TV. mine right now is a 32" Vizio theater 3D. MAYBE i will upgrade one day to a 2600x1440 SINGLE monitor.

will a GTX 670 OC max out crysis 3 60+ fps, or should i just stick with a gtx 680

Also, since you're returning it anyways, drop down to a 670.

The 680 is only 5% faster than a 670, but it costs 25-30% more - a very bad purchase.

As for maxing out crysis 3... not at 1080p, no. But neither will a single 680.
