i have just bought giga byte hercules x 580 w is it a good power supply to work sapphire vapor x r9 270x

It is not a good PSU. According to the 12v rail it is very weak for a supposed 580w PSU(12v rail maxes at 426w). It's made by andyson(they also make many of raidmax's failures) who traditionally make low quality garbage. Hopefully since you just bought it you can still return it.
