Gibabyte motherboard and Windows 8

I want to purchase a new internal hard disk and install windows 8.1 on it. I have an old motherboard: gigabyte: ga-m61sme-s2

will the board support the windows 8.1 or will I need to update it via the bios e.g. flash it?

It'll Support 8.1 But First Of All You Need To Remove Your Current HDD And When You Plug-In The New One Install 8.1 And Generally It Must Be Good
