Gig 7VRXP ACPI error

Please help!!!
I desperatley need to install a ATI TV Wonder VE (PCI) for a school project. Had no prob installing on an old PC. When I put the card in my new PC, I get an error message before Windows (XP PRO) boots up saying the my MOBO is not fully ACPI compliant and I must upgrade my BIOS (it's already fully updated). Since Windows doesn't load, the only way to get my PC functional is to take the card out and reboot. I've searched through the BIOS settings to no avail. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

2100+
512 ddr333

Have you tried other PCI slots?
What is your PS?
