[SOLVED] Gigabit ethernet doesn't work

I have a Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 3 motherboard with a Killer E2200 gigabit network chip thingy.
The problem is that it only reaches 100mbps.
I've already tried a different cable (only one, but it worked on another pc), checking the port, un and re installing drivers.
Any ideas?

What is it connected to?

Some device in the chain is limited to 100mbps.
NIC, cable, switch, router....something.

Does your router do gigabit?

Sorry for extremely late reply, but its connected to the router and im sure the router does gigabit

Is any in-wall cabling involved? That is more likely a problem than the patch cords.

Did you download the LAN drivers from the Gigabyte support page for your motherboard?

Yes to both questions. A couple other PCs have working gigabit in the same house, connected to the same router.

When connected to the modem, does your LAN port light up green or orange?

green seems to be lit up, and orange too, but orange flashes

If it's flashing orange, you're getting gigabit connections (connections does not mean speed, though). Test that cable again in another computer to see if you're getting steady green, flashing orange, or both as you seem to be getting from this computer (if should be one or the other).
