Hello everyone!
I just swapped out my old 10/100 switch for a gigabit switch and my speeds seem a little better. Is about 10 MB/s on average for a 15 GB file (a 4k movie) transferring about an 30 minutes good?
I have a gigabit NIC on my computer and running CAT 6 cable into the Plex Server. I have a gigabit port on the Plex Server with another CAT 6 cable running into the switch. I've tested using iperf3.exe on both machines and the result was about 988 MB/s. Am I being slowed down by hard drive speeds? Any advice on how to maximise my transfer speeds?
