hi everyone , i have the gigabite gtx 760 rev 2.0 , and a thermaltake smart serie , it contains 2 6pin pci-e and 1 8pin pci-e and another 2 6pin for sata and 1 8pin for sata too , the question is that this graphic card uses 1 6pin and one 8pin , both are important to suply the graphic card , is it possible to use 6pin on the side of the gtx to 8pin on the side of the psu , and 6+2pin on the side of the gtx for the 8pin slot to the 8pin on the side of the psu knowing that this second 8pin on the side of the psu is said to be for the sata , there are two problems here , first using 2 8pin on the side of the psu toward the gtx and second using the 8pin psu slot supposedly for the sata for the gtx , it is the only way to plug my gtx to the psu , am afraid of overpowering the gtx

Solution
You cant overpower a component but to answer your question only use the PCIe connectors to the card one 6pin and one 6+2 pin. Do not use any connectors marked SATA.

thank you for your answer ,but i have only two cable each one of them is 8pin to 6+2pin and i cant plug the 8pin into the card's 8pin slot , also i cant use the molex adapters that came with the card. do not have the molex to 6 and 8pin cables to the side of the psu , after waiting i had the courage to power up the pc :) . it did run great without any problem using the psu pci-e for sata , i did a benchmark of metro last light on all max but no ssaa , i got 47 average fps , i have an amd phenom quad core 9550 2.2g and 4g ddr2 ram and an abit motherboard a-s78h with pcie-e x1 lol , am gonna upgrade this soon , the graphic card would run even more better with a pci-e x3 and a stronger cpu and ddr3 ram , but its ok . the gtx was 25c on idle , it is very low for a temperature . and 65 running metroLL ,with no overclocking , thank you .
