Good Day,
I recently purchased a GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Gaming 8G graphics card to upgrade my computer. Unfortunately when installed my computer will not boot past bios spash screen. Upon power it will beep once, show the spash screen and then wait for a minet and then beep again, repeating. The computer is still able to boot without a graphics card or using my older 660ti with not problems.
I only have 2 issues with the installation of the card. The side plate does not line up with any of the cases screw holes and the power unit only has 2x 6+2 power pins where as the card receives 8 pins, as such plugging in power is not natural. Its also a bit big.
Specs:
Windows 7 64bit, SP1
Intel i7-3770 CPU @ 3.50GHz
GA-B75M-D3V Motherboard
16GB Ram
Coolmaster Extreme2 725 Power supply
Why would the graphics card cause the computer to not boot past bios at all? What should I do next?
