Gigabyte 290x 1DVI 1HDMI

Ok so I just purchased a shiny new Gigabyte 290x and am trying to dual monitor, well at least have my main monitor running. My main monitor is an older ViewSonic monitor that runs off DVI. My other monitor is an AOC TV running off of HDMI. As windows boots it shows up on both monitors. Once I log into windows the DVI monitor shuts off and the HDMI remains. Is there any way to extend my desktop to both monitors, or at least get the DVI to run. If any other info is needed please let me know. Thanks.

Some of those cards only have DIV-D not DVI-I that the older monitors use. DVI-D is a digital signal and will not work on a analog monitor unless you use a active adapter to change the signal.
Post a link to the video card you bought and the monitor that's not working if you can.

Ok so my monitor is a VX2450wm-LED, and it shows that it is a DVI-D monitor

Open CCC go to desktop management, creating and arranging desktops, and see if both monitors are showing in their if not click detect displays.
AMD catalyst control center.

Ok well I decided to check my cord and I had some bent pins, oddly it still worked with them bent, but the signal was being all bunged up with the new card. Thanks for your help, and once I readjusted the pins it works perfectly swell now. Thanks again!
