[SOLVED] Gigabyte 3070 Gaming OC Fan Issue

Just received my 3070 tonight. Noticed it was very loud when I started to game. I took a look and I noticed that the middle fan isn’t spinning. I tried manually adjusting my fan curve through afterburner and aorus engine but nothing seems to effect the fans. The outside two fans are spinning at full speed until I turn the PC off. Is there anything that I’m missing? Or should I start the RMA process?

Try reseating the GPU in the PCIe slot.
Full system specs along with make and model of your PSU?

When switched off can you turn the fan easily by hand?

Have already tried resetting the gpu in another pcie slot same result. When switched off the fan can be turned.

I’ve got the 3080 Gaming OC and all fans turn when switched on and I cannot control them individually. Unfortunately I suspect there is a fault.

I figured this may be this issue. Others were saying it might be a bios issue, but I’m not too sure how to update the gpu bios

Unless told to update the VBIOS by Gigabyte I wouldn’t do it. To much risk of bricking the card.

Okay, going to look into replacing the card
