My HTPC system is:

Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3
AMD Athlon II X4 620e (propus) 45w
8g Kingston DDR3 1600 ram (2X4)
Radeon HD 5450 1G video

Programs used:
Windows 7 Home Premium
Firefox

All I use the PC for is streaming NetFlix.

I have an Intel 320 Series 40g SSD and everything works fine however the drive was almost full.

I upgraded to an Intel 530 Series 120g drive and that is when the problem started.

While streaming NetFlix it starts out fine then the audio lags as much as 30 seconds and the video stutters badly.
While trying the built in Microsoft games everything is fast and smooth.

First I used the Intel disk image software then I did a fresh install with all the updates. Same issue with both.

With the 320 SSD CPU temp was never above 23c even with HD streaming and at 5% usage at most.

With the 530 SSD temps rise to 32c and stay there when streaming and the CPU shows 70-85% usage.

As a last resort I re-installed the 320 40g drive and it worked flawlessly again.

I originally posted that under the storage forum but there is an update.

I exchanged the Intel 530 120g SSD and the new one has the same problem.

I also tried a Samsung 840 Evo120g drive and had the same problem.
With the 320 40g drive all is well and I have also tried a Western Digital Caviar Black drive and that works fine.

I have updated the bios to the latest version as well as the latest drivers from Gigabyte.

I really want to use the new SSD but am at a loss as to why this is happening. I contacted Gigabyte and they were no help.

It took me three days but I finally solved the problem if anyone else has this happen.

I reverted back to the original chip set drivers that were on the driver dick inclused with the motherboard and all is well now.

The new drivers on the Gigabyte site are buggy on this issue.

thats good that you solved, hope your PC stays error free for some time! have a great day, im always happy to try to help.
