Hello,
I wanted to make definitively sure that a Gigabyte 965P DS3 Motherboard, exactly like the one seen here:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813128012

would be compatible, and would run well with Patriot 2GB PC2 6400 800MHz RAM, with far over 1.8V power recommended:

I have heard that these two are compatible, if you manually adjust voltage, but I wanted to make sure before I purchased. The reason I'm asking is because of this warning on the DS3 specs page:

Notice: Only DDR2-800 memory supporting JEDEC approved 1.8V operation with timings of 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 is supported on Intel Desktop Boards based on Intel 965 Express Chipsets.

Thank you.

Accord to reviews they are, I went with the 667MHz just to be safe though. It seems to be the more stable RAM of the 2 based on reviews and according to reviews can be easly OCed to 800MHz(and then some). Also all those Intel Chipsets used on that board and other boards have that warning. From what i read though...when you install the RAM its default settings are to only run at at 1.8v, and then you manually adjust.
