Hey all,
So I decided to try overclocking my processor, specs in sig, and as such I decided to go into my bios. While in the bios I noticed something odd, my CPU host frequency shows up as 200 mhz when I know it should show up as 266 mhz, given my 9X multiplier. Is this some kind of glitch and should I be worried about it when trying to overclock? I know that the fsb is actually running at the correct speed because after booting I can use cpu-z to monitor my processor and it is running at the correct speed. I do not understand why it is not showing up correctly in the bios. Is this just some default value that is shown, maybe as a baseline to begin overclocking once cpu host frequency control is enabled? On auto even though it shows up as 200 once the computer has booted into the os it seems to be fine regardless. I am just worried the number is wrong and thus overclocking could also go wrong.

Thanks for any help

Murphy82nd:

What rev. DS3 do you have? Also which bios version are you using? If you haven't upgraded to F12 yet you should!

I have revision 2.0 and I do actually have the F12 bios. Thanks for at least responding. I really don't understand this problem, and judging by the lack of response most other people don't either.
