Gigabyte 970 xtreme edition with 450w psu

Hello,
my present cpu spec,
1. Intel core i5 4460
2. Asus H81m-c motherboard
3. Adata 4x2GB DDR3
4. WD 1TB
5. Asus strix 960 2GB
6. psu- Thermaltake TR2 450w 80+ bronze.

Well, i want to buy the gigabyte 970 xtreme edition. I saw many people use 450w psu for various 970. I have no plan to upgrade my pc in near future as I am a budget person. I WILL NOT OVERLCLOCK. Even i didn't overlcok my gtx 960 for a single second. I will get a psu in near future. So can anyone tell me should I purchase this edition?

Nope. The Extreme edition has a very high clock already and requires two 8-pin PCIe power cables that your low power, poor quality TR2 does not have. You need to upgrade the power supply. Gigabyte recommends a 600 watt unit for the highly clocked extreme GPU.

With a very poor TR2 , I wouldn't run a 970 with it.

Even with what you are currently running, you are gambling. A 970 will just increase the odds of catastrophic TR2 failure.

a 970 is a bad idea i MAY work for a bit and then kill the psu and the psu may take your pc with it.
if you need a good card and for some reason cant upgrade your psu MAYBE a 960 will work or a 950 should work
