Gigabyte 970A-DS3P with FX 4300?

Could this motherboard work with that FX 4300 or other vishera core CPUs without having the bios updated? I'm buying both new and I don't have any other AM3 cpus to use to update the bios on it first

Hard to know for sure, but it will likely need the bios updated. Updating the bios isn't hard of you have another computer and a flash drive.

According to gigabyte's website that motherboard supports the fx4300 with a bios that was released on august. Its still tough to be sure if you will get a board with that bios. Personally I would go for it, bios updates are easy.
