Gigabyte 980ti G1 Power...

My friend bought a pre-built computer from IBuyPower and the power supply has two 8 pin connections. One cable goes to from 8 pin to 6+2 and the other goes from 8 pin to 6 but still have 3 12v rails. Can it still use this with the 980ti?
