I booted up my laptop after not using it for like a month, and started Destiny 2. I used to be able to get 60+ fps on medium settings, but now I'm struggling to get 20 fps on the lowest possible settings. The laptop has an i7-9750h with an gtx 1660ti. I ran a stress test on XTU and the cpu was at 90 celcius with an average boost clock of 1.8ghz. I underclocked it by -1.2v and the boost clock went up a bit, still at 90 celcius. What happened?

Solution
Maybe take apart the laptop and clean any dust in the heatsinks and around the fan. sounds like a thermal throttling issue as the CPU is extremely hot, and the clock is probably 1/3 what is should be.
