first time builder and the champion in being noob. can i update bios of my mobo with the ryzen 5 2600x?

If you can not boot your B350 MB, could be BIOS not up to date, you can ask AMD to send you an old CPU to update BIOS, then drop in 2600X, then you can do BIOS update with new CPU if needed.
