Usually 88C maximum throttle temperature for the card.
That card will stay 70C~80C during full load

Yes you make a good decision.
According to my personal experience (others might differ), the Rog Strix is the best AIR COOLED card out there. Nobody can beat the strix when it comes to temperature. At least that has been my experience having used many many different brands in the past.
