[SOLVED] Gigabyte Aorus z390 Ultra Wont Post Red CPU LED lit

Trying to troubleshoot this build.
Aorus Z390 Ultra Rev 1 MB
Intel I7-9700K CPU
Corsair MBX 750w PSU
Corsair 16gb Vengance PC4 3600 Ram
Samsung 970 m2 drive
Zotac Rtx 2070 gpu
CPU Cooler

Put everything together.. powered it on, MB LED lit for a brief second then off,all fans working, leds working on everything but the motherboard, no video output. Red CPU LED is lit. seems to power cycle every 20-30 seconds


Troubleshooting steps
checked and reseated all power cables,
check and reseated memory, CPU, M2 ssd
removed Zotac GPU, and tried to see if i could get video off Onboard HDMI.

Took MB out of case and tried to power on over cardboard box
Still stuck at same symptom, red cpu light.

totally frustrated at this point
🙁 I have built many PC's in my day... this is the first i couldnt solve

Any suggestions?

Try removing the CPU, taking a picture of the CPU socket, uploading it on imgur and posting the link here.

Try checking the 2 red areas with a magnifying glass. See if bent pins:

just used a magnifying glass and pins are fine, no bent pins

Then I would RMA both board and CPU.

turns out motherboard was foobar. as a troubleshooting tool i ordered a second motherboard same day service from.amazon. swapped out the motherboard and it fired up on cardboard. soent the next few hours adding items in one by one and putting it in case.

phew. feel.very relieved and amazon already accepted return
