Question Gigabyte Aorus Z690 - GPU coil whine through speakers

Hello,

I just upgraded to a Core i5 12600k with a Gigabyte Aorus Elite z690 motherboard and i am noise experiencing crazy speaker parasite noise when my gpu is running. I have a rtx 3080 and never had this issue with my previous motherboard.

My audio goes through an USB RME Babyface pro connect in XLR to studio monitors. I tried pluging the monitors to a socket at the other side of the room, no change. Is there anything i can do ? Should i return the motherboard?

What motherboard were you working with prior to the upgrade? If the platform/chipset was different than what you're on now, did you reinstall your OS?

Hello,

Quick update, it's definitely coil whine. I can hear it when i put my ear close to the case. I had it before but it didn't go through the speakers.

My previous setup was a Core i7 9700k with a MSI Z390 Gaming plus motherboard. I also upgraded to a more recent Noctua Cooler, don't see how this would affect anything but still mentioning.

I did not reinstall the OS but i don't see how it could cause this kind of symptoms?

Sorry fur upping. Do you think it is worth replacing the motherboard (i'm thinking MSI Tomahawk) or are there more chances that i'll get the same issue anyway?
