I bought i5 8400 with gigabyte Auros B360 gaming 3 wifi motherboard with ddr4 vengeance lpx 3000mhz 8gb ram. Psu i used is Corsair vs 550

I was planning to use my old r9 270x for sometime and upgrade later.

When i put all these thing together. Mobo wont boot up with gpu installed. I tried with few other gpus but same story. Its stuck with vga light on.

It boots up just fine without gpu.

Things i tried:

Different graphics cards.
Pci power connectors are pluged firmly.
1 ram dim in slot 2( later i tried in every slot one by one)

Check every gpu in other systems and they all work.

Please help

Update:

I set Initial Display Output to IGFX and install the graphic card. Connected the hdmi to motherboard's hdmi port. Tried booting. And guess what i got the display. After getting into windows, in device manager i could see another graphic card so I installed the drive of my dedicated gpu and connected another monitor to it and it worked. But if i boot with Initial Display Output set to pcie slot 1 or igfx disabled i dont get display from gpu even though fans are spinning.

I don't understand how can windows see dedicated gpu but bios(running latest f6 bios) cant?

did this work? I am about to do it.

Thanks a lot man, just to update this worked for me. Although now I have to figure out why when I go to DirectX Diagnostic Tool (search dxdiag under run to get here) it still shows that its using "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" device.

Although the good news is that the computer is recognizing my 1050 ti under device manager, now I just need to make it default (which it is in my bios).
